Drooling of Saliva with Displaced Tongue in An Infant

Ludwig’s angina (LA) is a potentially life-threatening disease described as cellulitis of the submandibular space. There are many causes LA with odontogenic cause being commonest among children and adults. In pre-antibiotics era, known to be fatal mortality rates surpassing 50%. However, antibiotics surgical intervention, rate has significantly reduced. We report case an 11-month-old infant who presented high-grade fever, right region swelling, drooling saliva limited neck movement. Prompt diagnosis airway management was required child underwent successful recovery. The presentation, aetiology, complications discussed.
